Classic screens

Next to the editor app, Snipfire has simple WordPress-style screens that work without JavaScript. You'll rarely need them, but they're there if:

• a browser extension, firewall or strict security policy stops the editor from loading,
• you're on a very old or text-only browser,
• you just want a plain list.

Where to find them #

• Classic view at the bottom of the editor's sidebar, or the link at the top of Tools & Safe Mode: Classic snippet list (works without JavaScript).
• For one snippet: ⋯ → Open in classic editor.

What you can do there #

The classic screens cover the basics: list snippets, create and edit them (code and settings, including conditions), switch them on and off, and delete them. Saving runs the same checks and test load as the editor.

What's only in the editor app: autocomplete and the hook picker, formatting, the history comparison, bulk actions, drag and drop, and the import screen.

With Snipfire Pro, the classic editor also shows the Pro settings (testing mode, cookie consent), and team access is enforced there exactly as in the app.
