Snipfire Pro licences are handled by Freemius, our licensing and payments partner. Your purchase email has your licence key and a link to your account, where you can download Snipfire Pro, see your licences and invoices, and manage renewals.

Activate #

1. Install and activate Snipfire Pro (see Install).
2. Click Activate your licence in the notice. (It's also on the Plugins screen, as Activate License under Snipfire Pro.)
3. Paste your licence key and click Activate License.

Once the licence is active, the Snipfire menu has an Account page: your plan, licence key and renewal date, with Deactivate License and Change License.

Pro's features switch on straight away.

Starting a free trial works the same way: choose the trial instead of entering a key. The trial is of the Agency plan; no card is needed.

Move a licence to another site #

A 1 site licence can be moved: deactivate it on the old site (Snipfire → Account → Deactivate License), then activate it on the new one.

Local development sites (localhost and similar) don't count toward your site limit.

When a licence ends #

If your licence expires or you cancel, or a trial ends without a purchase:

• Your snippets keep running. Nothing that worked in the free plugin changes.
• Pro settings are kept with each snippet, and stay safely off until Pro is active again:
  • a script that waits for cookie consent doesn't run,
  • a snippet in testing mode runs for nobody,
  • Pro conditions (country, region, referrer, language, consent, WooCommerce cart and customer) never match. They stay in the snippet, even if you edit it (see Conditions),
  • SCSS and LESS stylesheets keep their last compiled CSS; saving changes to them needs Pro.
• The history goes back to keeping 10 versions of each snippet instead of 50.
• Git sync, team access roles and the activity log stop until you renew. Team members who aren't administrators lose access to Snipfire until then.
• WordPress shows a notice: Snipfire Pro needs an active licence for its features. Your snippets keep running; settings that need Pro stay safely off until then.

Renew, or activate a new licence, and everything comes back as it was.

Uninstalling Pro #

Deactivating or deleting Snipfire Pro has the same effect as a licence ending: snippets keep running and Pro settings stay safely off. The free plugin and your snippets aren't touched.

Invoices, renewals, cancelling #

Use the link in your purchase email to open your Freemius account. You can download invoices, change your payment method, turn automatic renewal off, or upgrade to another plan there. For a refund, see Plans and pricing.
