Developer tools snippets
Maintenance mode, environments, template names, WP-Cron, updates. Free, tested and ready to install in Snipfire in one click.
- 256 snippets
- 29 one-click packs
- Tested with WordPress 7.1 and WooCommerce 11.1
- No account needed
- Maintenance mode Visitors see a simple “Back soon” page (with the proper 503 status for search engines) while you work. Logged-in editors see the site as usual.
- See scheduled tasks (WP-Cron) Adds Tools > Scheduled tasks for administrators: every WP-Cron event, when it runs next and how often. Handy for finding the plugin behind a slow site.
- Hold back updates for one plugin WordPress stops offering updates for the plugin you name, for example one you’ve customised or one whose next version breaks your site.
- Turn off automatic plugin and theme updates WordPress no longer updates plugins and themes by itself, and the “Enable auto-updates” links go away. Useful when you test updates on staging first.
- Page stats for administrators Administrators see how long the page took to build, how many database queries it ran and how much memory it used, in the admin bar.
- Show which template a page uses Administrators see the theme file (or block template) that built the current page in the admin bar. Saves guessing when you edit a theme.
