RSS feeds
Control what your RSS feed shows, and when.
- Publish to the RSS feed 15 minutes later New posts appear in your RSS feed 15 minutes after publishing, so you have time to fix a typo before feed readers and email newsletters pick them up.
- Leave a category out of the RSS feed Posts in the category you choose don’t appear in your main RSS feed. Good for announcements or members-only posts.
- Link back to your site in the RSS feed Adds “The post … first appeared on …” with links to the end of every post in your feed. Scraper sites that copy your feed then link back to you.
- Summaries only in the RSS feed Your RSS feed shows a short summary of each post instead of the whole text, so readers visit the site to read on.
- 20 posts in the RSS feed Your RSS feed lists the latest 20 posts instead of 10.
- Turn off comment feeds Comment feeds (/comments/feed/ and each post’s /feed/) redirect to the post or home page, and their links leave the page head. Your posts feed keeps working.
- Add products or other post types to the RSS feed Your main RSS feed includes the post types you choose (for example WooCommerce products) as well as posts.
Move your snippets over this afternoon.
Importing changes nothing until you switch over, and your old shortcodes keep working.
