Hotjar
Adds Hotjar heatmaps and recordings to every page. Visits by administrators aren’t counted.
Before you switch it on: Replace 0000000 with your Hotjar site ID (Hotjar > Sites & Organizations).
It arrives switched off, even when you install its whole pack with "Switch on after installing".
<!-- Hotjar -->
<script>
( function ( h, o, t, j, a, r ) {
h.hj = h.hj || function () { ( h.hj.q = h.hj.q || [] ).push( arguments ); };
h._hjSettings = { hjid: 0000000, hjsv: 6 };
a = o.getElementsByTagName( 'head' )[0];
r = o.createElement( 'script' ); r.async = 1;
r.src = t + h._hjSettings.hjid + j + h._hjSettings.hjsv;
a.appendChild( r );
} )( window, document, 'https://static.hotjar.com/c/hotjar-', '.js?sv=' );
</script>
Good to know
Recordings can capture what visitors type: check Hotjar’s privacy settings, and in the EU load it only after consent.
Comes with a rule
It doesn't run for administrators, so your own visits don't count in your statistics. You can change the rule after installing.
In these packs
- More tracking codes: Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Hotjar, Plausible, site verification and a GA4 purchase event.
