Snipfire is made by PSDgator, a small WordPress studio in Thessaloniki, Greece, that builds WordPress and WooCommerce sites. Here's how we build the plugin.
How we work.

Safety before features
Every snippet is checked before it's saved and test-loaded before it goes live. If one still fails, Snipfire switches it off and tells you. New features have to fit around that, never the other way round.

Your code stays yours
Snippets are plain files on your server. Export them, sync them to your own Git repository, or move to another plugin: nothing is locked in, and your old shortcodes keep working when you switch to us.

No phoning home
The free plugin sends nothing to us or anyone else. The only request it makes is to your own site, for the test load. The snippet library ships inside the plugin, so nothing is downloaded either.

Honest comparisons
When we compare ourselves with other plugins, we check their own websites, documentation and code. Where we couldn't confirm something, we say "not documented", not "no". And our "replace a plugin" pages say when the plugin is still the better choice.

Tested, every time
Every release runs through automated tests on the current WordPress and WooCommerce: the editor, every importer, every library snippet switched on, Git sync against real repositories.
