How switching works.

The same five steps for every plugin, and your site keeps working after each one.

We tested every importer against the real plugins: the site's output was identical before importing, after switching over, and after the old plugins were switched off.

  1. Install the free plugin

    Snipfire notices snippets from other plugins and offers to import them. Your old plugin doesn't even need to be active: Snipfire reads its data directly.

  2. Import

    Copies arrive switched off in an "Imported" folder, with a note on anything that works differently. Nothing changes on your site yet.

  3. Check the few that need it

    Anything Snipfire can't match exactly is marked "Check first" and keeps running in your old plugin until you've looked at it. Snipfire never guesses silently.

  4. Switch over

    One click turns each snippet off in your old plugin and on in Snipfire, and test-loads your site in between. A snippet that fails is reported and left where it was.

  5. Remove the old plugin when you're ready

    Old shortcodes like [wpcode], [code_snippet], [fluent_snippet] and [hfcm] keep working, even after the old plugin is gone.
